Retired membership is open to any accredited member who has decided not to continue an active career as an interior decorator/designer but who wishes to maintain a professional interest in the field by acting as a mentor to new decorators and/or attending educational seminars and networking.
Retired members may hold elective or appointive office in the Association. Retired members shall not be entitled to all the rights and privileges of accredited members and shall not have the right to vote. Retired members may only refer to themselves as “DDA retired member” and they may not use the DDA logo or present themselves other than “DDA retired member” on any marketing or promotional materials, including printed and electronic, while belonging to DDA as a retired member.
As a long-time member, I have valued the collaboration and networking opportunities with my peers and colleagues. The association’s website is a source of information and professional networking opportunities and is undeniably a tool I value, and one I count on to stay informed.
