Education / Continuing Education Credits
All accredited members are required to obtain 0.5 CEUs (5 hours) on an annual basis and present verification at renewal. The 0.5 CEUs need to have been obtained within the 12 months prior to renewal.
We use a harmonized Continuing Education Unit (CEU) program that’s run in conjunction with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council. This program elevates our profession nationally by ensuring all Canadian design and decorator professionals receive the same number and quantity of continuing education and professional development credits each year. It also gives all members access to a universal education tracking system, which is a handy tool for tracking both IDCEC and non-IDCEC courses, and reporting on CEUs earned.
Upon acceptance of DDA Canada membership, accredited members must enroll in the IDCEC database. The personal IDCEC identification number you are issued when you enroll provides you access to the IDCEC online recording system and programs.
Don’t create a new account with IDCEC. If you cannot find your account follow IDCEC’s website for recovering your membership number. See below.
