GTA West Update

GTA West Board positions update:

Special Events – Kristina Bhavsar, new graduate
Affiliate Director – Snehal Dalvi, new graduate
Treasurer/Secretary – Vacant
Communications – soon to be vacant (Recommendation to have at least two people share the communications role)
Kaitlyn is stepping down from her shared role with Nina as Co-Program Director

Upcoming Events Scheduled:

September 12 – AGM for GTA West – Lowville Bistro – 12pm
October 8 – Litemode/ Phil Todoroff – Phil is a professor at Humber
November 7 – Hallmark Kitchens/ Sherwin Williams CEU
December Event – Looking at attending the TA event at TIDC
January 2020 – No event due to driving conditions
February 2020, Granite Works in Guelph, TBA

National Capital Region

We hope everyone enjoyed the summer and while sadly our days are getting shorter, it does serve as a reminder that High Point Fall Market is just around the corner. It’s coming up on October 19th to the 23rd so if you haven’t already, do visit the market website and register as a Buyer (complimentary!) so you can get access to the full program of events as well as all the services the market concierge provides for attendees including assistance with accommodation.

Some of us from the NCR (Ottawa) chapter will be going and would be happy to share information for any first timers. If you are already familiar with market let us know if you are attending and perhaps we can arrange some special events tailored to the Canadian professionals. We would have strength in numbers!

In addition to the fabulous showrooms and generous hospitality that you can expect at market, there are also many complimentary CEU presentations so it presents a great opportunity to earn your credits.
